A Love Story from the Sky

Love knows no bounds, not even the confines of airport terminals and airplane cabins. In celebration of Valentine’s Day, we want to share our favourite love story from Casey here.

From Ireland, with love

Here is a sweet love story from Casey, a flight attendant from AmericaL

Back in 2016, my twin sister and jetted off to Ireland to celebrate our birthday with a group of friends. I was using her flight benefits at the time. Little did I know, this non-rev trip would change my life.

At a pub in the city center, I spotted Danny, a charming chef. With a nudge from my sister, we exchanged our socials.

Despite living miles apart, we kept in touch for five years. When I later became a flight attendant in Ft. Lauderdale, Danny asked me when I was going to come back to Ireland. With some time off at the end of September, I hopped on an Aer Lingus flight and met Danny at the airport.

We spent two unforgettable nights in Galway, where he confessed his love for me. A few weeks later I flew back to Dublin to tell him I felt the same way.

Now, we’ve been together for over 2 1/2 years, and I couldn’t be happier. ❤️
