Arriving in Sydney is an unexplainable sensation. Sydney is a rich city with an immensity of experiences waiting for us.

In 24 hours we do not have that much time, but a crew member is used to seeing a city in a day. Thus, I advise a walk to the center, where you’ll find the Queen Victoria Building. This is like an open air gallery. Here we can have breakfast, see some shops and even buy something, maybe hugs boots. Then we head towards Hyde Park and crossing the street we have the St. Mary’s Cathedral. It deserves a visit even for those who are not Catholics. After, walk to the Art Gallery of NSW which has always a huge offer of art. When lunch time arrives, go to the restaurant inside the gallery where you can find excellent soups and salads at affordable prices.

After lunch, walk through the botanical garden (30 hectares) and through the Sydney Opera. A guided tour is mandatory here. There are several tours that you can book online. You’ll have access to the largest showroom that takes around 2000 people in a concert. The interior of the opera is magnificent.

During sunset, the ideal place for me is to sit next to the Opera Cafe and enjoy this moment viewing the bridge in the background.

To end the evening, take a quick walk to the Harbour Bridge for a view of the city with another perspective. You can return to the Darling Harbour by boat and dinner there. It has a great variety of restaurants.
