Curaçao is a great destination in the southern Caribbean, known for its mix of Dutch and Caribbean influences. The island has clear blue water, colorful buildings, and a relaxed vibe — making it a perfect spot for non-rev travelers. Whether you’re there for a short layover or a longer trip, there’s plenty to see and do. From beaches to historic sites, Curaçao offers something for everyone. Here are some tips to help you make the most of your visit!
How to non-rev to Curacao
Curaçao International Airport (CUR), also known as Hato International Airport, is the main gateway to the island. It serves direct flights from North America, South America, and Europe — making it fairly accessible for non-rev travelers!

Visit Westpunt and its hidden beaches
Westpunt (literally “West Point”) is where you’ll find some of the island’s most stunning, less-touristy beaches. Don’t miss Playa Kalki, Playa Grandi (where you can snorkel with turtles!), and the breathtaking Grote Knip beach. And when you want to stop for lunch, I definitely recommend: Blue View Sunset Terrace!
Snorkel or dive the Tugboat wreck
Just off the southeast coast, near Caracasbaai, lies one of Curaçao’s most popular snorkeling and diving spots — the Tugboat wreck. This sunken boat is surrounded by colorful coral and tropical fish. The waters are calm and clear, making it perfect even for beginner snorkelers.
Explore Colorful Willemstad
Willemstad, Curaçao’s capital, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site — and it shows! Walk across the iconic Queen Emma floating bridge, explore the vibrant Punda and Otrobanda neighborhoods, and take in the colonial Dutch architecture painted in tropical colors. Don’t forget to grab a drink by the Handelskade waterfront or browse the floating market.
Discover the Aloe Vera Farm
Located in the northeastern part of the island, the Curaloe Aloe Vera Plantation offers a fascinating look at how this healing plant is grown and used. You can tour the fields, learn about the production process, and shop for natural skincare products — perfect for after-sun care. A refreshing, relaxing stop off the beaten path!
Explore Christoffel National Park
If you’re up for a bit of adventure, visit Christoffel National Park, Curaçao’s largest national park. You can hike up Mount Christoffel (the island’s highest point) which takes around 35 minutes or drive through scenic routes with amazing views of the north coast.
